Federal govt increases jet fuel price by Rs13.23 per litre

New price of jet fuel has been fixed at Rs251.02 per litre after the latest increase, the official sources say

ISLAMABAD: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-July 11th, 2026) The Federal government on Saturday increased the price of jet fuel by Rs13.23 per litre, further raising fuel costs across the country following the latest revision in petroleum product prices.

The official sources said that the new price of jet fuel has been fixed at Rs251.02 per litre after the latest increase. The revised rate has come into effect immediately and will remain applicable until the next official price review.

The increase follows the government's decision a day earlier to raise the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel under its fortnightly petroleum pricing mechanism. Petrol prices were increased by Rs13.18 per litre, taking the new price to Rs310.71 per litre, while the price of high-speed diesel was raised by Rs13.80 per litre, bringing it to Rs323.30 per litre.

The latest adjustment reflects the government's periodic review of petroleum prices, which takes into account fluctuations in international oil prices and changes in the exchange rate.

The industry experts say the increase in jet fuel prices is likely to raise operating costs for airlines, as aviation fuel accounts for a significant share of overall flight expenses.

The additional costs could put pressure on the aviation sector, although airlines have not yet announced whether the increase will affect airfares.
