LAHORE: (Pakistan Point News - 22nd Jun, 2026) A high-level delegation of the Pakistan Industrial Sewing Machines Importers & Dealers Association (PISMIDA), led by Chairman Muhammad Yaseen, has returned to Pakistan after participating in "ITM 2026 Istanbul", one of the world's premier textile machinery exhibitions. The visit is being viewed as a significant step toward strengthening Pakistan's textile manufacturing capabilities, fostering international partnerships, and accelerating the adoption of modern industrial technologies.
During the exhibition, the Pakistani delegation engaged in a series of strategic meetings with leading global manufacturers, technology providers, industry experts, and business leaders from across the world. Discussions focused on expanding bilateral cooperation, exploring investment and technology-transfer opportunities, and identifying innovative solutions to enhance the competitiveness of Pakistan's textile and garment sectors.
Speaking after the visit, Muhammad Yaseen described ITM 2026 as an invaluable platform that enabled direct interaction with companies shaping the future of the global textile industry. He noted that the exhibition showcased groundbreaking advancements in industrial sewing machinery, automated production systems, smart manufacturing solutions, and next-generation textile technologies.
The world is ready to share advanced technologies with Pakistan, Yaseen said. However, both the government and the private sector must demonstrate commitment, progress, and a clear vision for industrial modernization in order to fully capitalize on these opportunities.
He emphasized that the adoption of state-of-the-art textile machinery and modern production technologies can significantly increase productivity, reduce manufacturing costs, improve product quality, and strengthen Pakistan's position in highly competitive international markets. According to him, technological modernization is essential for enabling the country's textile industry to meet evolving global standards and customer demands.
The PISMIDA chairman further stated that the association would actively disseminate information gathered during the exhibition to local manufacturers and industry stakeholders. He encouraged businesses to formulate plans for investing in advanced machinery and innovative production systems that can transform operational efficiency and enhance export competitiveness.
Yaseen stressed that the implementation of modern technologies would not only multiply production capacity but also elevate quality standards to international levels, creating greater opportunities for Pakistani products in global markets. Such advancements, he said, could play a crucial role in driving export growth and strengthening Pakistan's reputation as a leading textile-producing nation.
