NEW YORK: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-Jan 28th, 2026) Iran’s mission to the United Nations warned on Wednesday that any attack on the country would trigger a response “never seen before,” while emphasizing its readiness for negotiations based on mutual respect and interests.
In an official statement, the Iranian mission said, “Iran is prepared for talks on the basis of mutual respect and shared interests, but if pressured, Iran will defend itself and respond in a way that has never been seen before.”
The statement recalled that the last time the United States intervened in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, it incurred losses of $700 billion and more than 7,000 soldiers were killed.

In his post, Trump claimed that a large naval fleet was being sent toward Iran, led by the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln, surpassing the fleet previously sent to Venezuela. He warned that the fleet would be capable of completing its mission with force and violence if necessary.
Trump also expressed hope that Iran would come to the negotiating table soon and engage in discussions for a fair and equitable deal, free of nuclear weapons, that benefits all parties involved.
