MANDURAH: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-Jan 28th, 2026) A married teacher in Western Australia, Naomi Tekia Craig, 33, has admitted in court to sexually abusing a 12-year-old student and giving birth to the child resulting from the abuse.
Craig pleaded guilty to 15 charges, including continuous sexual relations with the minor, sexual exploitation of other students under 16, inappropriate sexual conduct toward children, and possession of child sexual material. Police confirmed that the abuse continued for around 14 months.
Police Commissioner described the case as “extremely serious,” highlighting the gravity of sexual crimes against children, especially by individuals in positions of trust.
Craig appeared via audio link in court and was granted bail under strict conditions, including a ban on being alone with any child.
Craig had been teaching at Frederick Irwin Anglican School. The school confirmed the affected boy was not enrolled there and said Craig has been terminated.
Authorities are withholding the identities of the victims and their schools. The case has been referred to the District Court, with sentencing scheduled for March 27, 2026.
