Pair first met in 2020 at an event, and their relationship gradually deepened over time
CANBERRA: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-Nov 29th, 2025) In a major personal milestone, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has married his longtime partner, Judy Hagan, after a five-year relationship.
Albanese, who made history as the first Australian Prime Minister to marry while in office, tied the knot in a private ceremony held in Canberra. The couple kept the date of their wedding confidential.
The pair first met in 2020 at an event, and their relationship gradually deepened over time. Throughout the 2022 and 2025 election campaigns, Judy Hagan accompanied Albanese on international trips and at key political events, further cementing their public presence as a couple.
In February of the previous year, Albanese proposed to Hagan on Valentine's Day, and she accepted.
In a joint statement following the wedding, Albanese and Hagan expressed their joy, saying, "We are thrilled to share with our family and close friends our commitment to one another and our future together."
