CPPA seeks 65-paisa per unit cut; NEPRA to hear request on Nov 27.
ISLAMABAD: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-Nov,19, 2025) Electricity consumers may receive relief next month as power tariffs are expected to decrease.
The Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) has submitted a request to the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) seeking a reduction of 65 paisa per unit in electricity prices. The request has been filed under the monthly fuel cost adjustment for the month of October.
NEPRA will conduct a hearing on the CPPA’s petition on November 27, during which a final decision regarding the proposed tariff cut will be made.
According to energy officials, if the CPPA’s request is approved, consumers could see lower electricity bills in the coming month.
