ISLAMABAD: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-Nov 5th, 2025) Pakistan Super League (PSL) officials have requested franchise owners to assist in recovering outstanding dues from stakeholders, sources said following an important meeting held between PSL management, franchise representatives, and officials.
The team officials joined the meeting via video call, while Multan Sultans’ owner Ali Tareen — known for his outspoken statements in media and social platforms — was notably absent. However, his representatives attended on his behalf.
During the meeting, the PSL officials urged the franchises to play their part in facilitating the recovery of pending payments owed by stakeholders, emphasizing that the Pakistan cricket board (PCB) is still awaiting the clearance of dues.
Meanwhile, former PCB Director of International Cricket Usman Wahla has rejoined the PSL setup and participated in the meeting.
The franchises were also officially informed that two new teams would be added in the 11th edition of the PSL, though further details were not discussed. The meeting also included the deliberations on player retention policies for the upcoming season.
