Players to get cash prizes and jobs after Nations Cup success.
LAHORE: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-Oct,20, 2025) The Federal government has decided to hold a special ceremony to honour Pakistan’s national hockey players for their impressive performance in the Nations Cup.
According to sources, the event aims to encourage players who helped the team secure second place and qualify for the FIH Pro Hockey League for the first time.
Under the announcement made by Interior Minister and PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, each player will receive a cash prize of Rs1 million. Additionally, unemployed players will be offered jobs in various government departments.
Sources added that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is also expected to attend the ceremony.
