Police say they have taken flat’s keys into custody for forensic examination
ISLAMABAD: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-July 17th, 2025) The police on Thursday launched an investigation into the mysterious death of Pakistani actress Humaira Asghar after she was found dead under suspicious circumstances at her apartment.
According to the investigating officers, three keys to the main entrance of her flat were discovered inside the apartment which raised concerns over the nature of her death. Police have taken the flat’s keys into custody for forensic examination.
As part of the investigation, the building administration, security guard and Humaira’s former housemaid were questioned. The officials confirmed that all three individuals had been in contact with the actress until October 2024 while the housemaid reportedly left her job earlier that year.
The preliminary findings suggested that Humaira Asghar Ali may have been facing financial distress. The investigators revealed that her last commercial project was completed in September 2024, and she remained in contact with professional acquaintances until the following month.
The authorities also noted the absence of CCTV cameras in and around the building which hindered efforts to review surveillance footage for possible leads.
