Shefali suffered a sudden heart attack on Thursday night, local media report
MUMBAI: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-June 28th, 2025) Popular Indian actress and reality tv star Shefali Jariwala, best known for her iconic dance performance in the 2002 music video “Kaanta Laga”, has passed away at the age of 42.
The Indian media reported that Shefali suffered a sudden heart attack on Thursday night. She was immediately rushed to a hospital in Mumbai by her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, along with three other individuals. However, doctors confirmed that she had already passed away before arriving at the hospital.
While an official statement regarding the exact cause of death has not yet been released, initial reports suggest that cardiac arrest is believed to be the Primary cause.
Shefali became a household name in the early 2000s after appearing in the hit remix video “Kaanta Laga”, which gained massive popularity and made her an overnight sensation. She later went on to participate in several popular reality TV shows, including Nach Baliye and Bigg Boss 13, further cementing her place in the Indian entertainment industry.
