Australian cricketer reaches feat on day one of the third Test against West Indies at Sabina Park as he scores 9 runs to cross 1,000 WTC runs alongside his 213 wickets in 51 matches

SYDNEY: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-July 14th, 2025) Australian Test captain Pat Cummins has become the first Australian and third overall player to achieve the milestone of 1,000 runs and 100 wickets in the ICC World Test Championship.

Pat Cummins reached the feat on day one of the third Test against the West Indies at Sabina Park, scoring 9 runs to cross 1,000 WTC runs, alongside his 213 wickets in 51 matches.

Before him, only India’s Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin had reached this rare all-round double.

Meanwhile, Mitchell Starc surpassed Brett Lee to become Australia’s third-highest wicket-taker in international cricket with 719 wickets, trailing only Shane Warne (999) and Glenn McGrath (948).
