DAZHOU: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-July 9th, 2025) Pakistan’s U-18 hockey team continued their dominant run at the Men’s U-18 Asia Cup by defeating host nation China 2-1 in their final pool match to secure an unbeaten finish in the group stage and a spot in the semi-finals.

In a high-stakes encounter played in Dazhou, China, Pakistan took the lead in the 11th minute through a brilliant field goal by Hasan Shehbaz.

The Green Shirts doubled their advantage in the third quarter when Hanzala struck, giving Pakistan a commanding 2-0 lead.

Despite a late goal from the Chinese side, Pakistan held their ground and walked away with a hard-fought 2-1 victory.

With this win, Pakistan finished at the top of their pool, having won all four of their matches in the group stage. They will now face Malaysia in the semi-final scheduled for July 11. The second semi-final will see Japan take on Bangladesh.
