Each player of national hockey team is believed to be owed approximately Rs 500,000
LAHORE: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-July 9th, 2025) Players of Pakistan’s national hockey team are still awaiting their due daily allowances, with no progress made on the matter despite repeated delays, a local private tv reported on Wednesday.
The players are now growing increasingly frustrated over the lack of communication from the federation.
The reports suggested that the officials from the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) stopped responding to queries from players regarding the pending payments. Each player is believed to be owed approximately Rs 500,000.
The issue dates back to several recent international and domestic assignments. Players have not been paid their daily allowances for the FIH Nations Cup, and no allowances have been disbursed for two separate training camps held in Islamabad.
As per the existing structure, players are entitle to PKR 30,000 per day for international engagements and Rs3,000 per day for domestic training camps.
The delay has led to mounting frustration within the squad, with players reportedly expressing anger over the continued silence from federation officials. Many are demanding immediate resolution and transparency in the disbursement process.
Pakistan Hockey Federation has yet to issue an official statement regarding the delayed payments.
