Abu Dhabi: (Pakistan Point News - 01 July, 2025) The Embassy of Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates, in collaboration with the Overseas Pakistani Foundation (OPF), organized the Pakistani Mango Festival 2025 at Le Royal Meridien Hotel in Abu Dhabi. The event attracted a large number of distinguished Emirati dignitaries, diplomats, business leaders, and members of the vibrant Pakistani community in the UAE.
Dr. Muhammad Farhan, the lead organiser of the event, opened the festival with a warm welcome and expressed his gratitude to Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi and the Embassy of Pakistan for their unwavering support in making the event a success.
In his keynote address, Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi highlighted Pakistan’s position as the world’s fourth-largest producer of mangoes, renowned globally for their unique taste, fragrance, and diversity. He noted that nearly 60% of Pakistan’s mango exports are destined for the Gulf region, reflecting their immense popularity in the middle East.
Ambassador Tirmizi underlined the importance of cultural events like this in promoting Pakistan’s image abroad. He stated, “Festivals like the Mango Festival not only celebrate our agricultural excellence but also build bridges of understanding and friendship between the people of Pakistan and the UAE.”
Guests were treated to an exquisite showcase of Pakistan’s top mango varieties, allowing them to savor the unmatched flavor of the "King of Fruits."
