The family of the girl had tied her knot to another person which made Atiq angry.
Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 10th June, 2019) Facebook friendship turned out to be deadly as at least five people were killed while four others were injured over a matrimonial dispute in Multan.
The man murdered the girl along with her father and brothers over refusing his marriage proposal after becoming Facebook friends. The man shot himself as well after killing the family.
According to details, 22-year-old girl became friends with Atiqur Rehman of Khoshan on Facebook.
Atiq was said to be working in an intelligence department.
The family of the girl had tied her knot to another person which made Atiq angry. He sent his marriage proposal but the family refused.
Upon this, angry Atiq entered the house of Rafique in Islampura village, Jalalpur Pirwala and allegedly shot at and killed Rafique, his son Asif (19), daughter Nasreen Mai, 10-year-old Sana and her lover.
Jalalpur Police rushed to the spot and started investigation.
The injured and the bodies were moved to Nishtar hospital for medico-legal formalities.
