MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 06th June, 2019) Two Canadian women, who are in Ghana on an exchange program with a local university, were abducted in the city of Kumasi on Monday evening, local media reported on Thursday.
Daily Guide newspaper reported that one of those kidnapped was identified as Lauren. Two women were forced in a car near Vienna City Restaurant.
According to the media, kidnappers have not contacted victims' families or the Canadian embassy in Ghana for ransom.
Daily Guide also specified that women's families filed a complaint with the regional police station for prompt action, but local law enforcement agencies had not commented on this matter yet.
