Rawalpindi (Pakistan Point News / Online - 14th May, 2019) Project for water supply to native areas of district Rawalpindi from Chahan Dam has been prepared.60, 00,000 gallon water will be supplied to native areas of district Rawalpindi from Chahan Dam daily to overcome water crisis.According to media reports amount of Rs 200 million has been released for this project while Rs 400 million will be allocated in the new fiscal budget.From this amount, water filtration plant will be installed at Chahan Dam and water pumping station will be constructed at UC Ranyal.
Chairman Punjab education Foundation (PEF) Wasiq Qayyum said that this is a big water project on which work will be started from next month.He said Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar has approved the funds for the project.He said all union councils of PP12 will be supplied water from this project after which water will be supplied to Cantt areas too.
