Two People Injured In Plane Fire Hospitalized In Grave Condition - Russian Health Ministry

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 05th May, 2019) Two people in grave condition after being injured in fire, which occurred on board of Aeroflot's Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft, were sent for hospitalization on Sunday to the Vishnevsky Institute of Surgery in Moscow, the Russian Health Ministry said.

The Sukhoi Superjet 100 had to make an emergency landing earlier in the day at the Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport due to the fire on board, which ultimately burnt down the aircraft. According to the Russian authorities, the incident claimed life of one person, while six others were injured. Russian flagship carrier Aerflot confirmed that the fire had been extinguished.

"Two people injured in fire at Sheremetyevo airport were sent to the Vishnevsky Institute of Surgery of the Russian Health Ministry in grave condition. The experts of the Health Ministry will consult two more passengers in moderately grave condition, if necessary, patients will be sent to one of the Federal medical institutions," the ministry's press service said.
