This Peshawar man is on a quest to collect old Quranic manuscripts

Akbar Shah said that he could not read or understand the Quran so he has been expressing his love for the revelation of Allah in this way.

Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 22nd April, 2019) A man in Peshawar is on his quest to collect old manuscripts of Quran.

He has been roaming around the streets for the past 29 years to collect the Quran manuscripts.

The man, named Akbar Shah, collects pages and manuscripts of Quran from the streets.

Akbar Shah said that he could not read or understand the Quran so he has been expressing his love for the revelation of Allah in this way.

Akbar Shah said he finds peace doing this.

He said that a human being keeps running after peace all his life but thankfully, he has found peace in this job specially dedicated for Allah.

Akbar said that he collects the old manuscripts and pages of Quran and keep them in a godown in the city.

He then buries all these manuscripts outside the city. Akbar said that he takes the manuscripts to Jamrud after collecting them and buries them in a 10-ft grave over there.

He said that with time, other citizens have also joined him in this pious mission.

The citizens said that they also find peace helping Akbar in his quest.
