Putin To Discuss Trade Outlook With Angolan President On Thursday

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 04th April, 2019) Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet with his Angolan counterpart, Joao Lourenco, on Thursday in Moscow to discuss bilateral economic and trade ties as well as international issues.

The talks will largely focus on finances as Angola expects larger long-term investments from Moscow as well as more direct investment in medicine, mining and agriculture. Moreover, the Angolan side is interested in creation of joint enterprises with Russia, including in agriculture, energy, tourism, geology and subsurface resources management.

The meeting between Putin and Lourenco may also cover expansion of defense industry cooperation, including plans to set up weapons assembly factories in the African country, as well as the deliveries of Russian SU-30K fighter jets, slated for this May.
