Islamabad Police on Friday arrested 16 outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered narcotics, stolen vehicle and weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said

ISLAMABAD (Pakistan Point News / NNI - 29th March, 2019) Islamabad Police on Friday arrested 16 outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered narcotics, stolen vehicle and weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said.Following directions of DIG (Operations) Waqar Ud din Syed, he said that police have accelerated efforts against those involved in anti-social activities and special patrolling and vigilance is being ensured in the city.

Owing these efforts, police teams arrested 16 outlaws from various area of the city in a single day and recovered narcotics and valuables from them.According to details, Sabzi Mandi police arrested Hidyat and recovered 1250 gram hashish from him. Tarnol police arrested Arab Khan and Rauf for having 400 gram hashish and 60 liter wine respectively.The homicide unit of Islamabad police arrested Ismail and recovered dagger from him while Karachi company police arrested Adnan Khan, Sani Imtiaz and Mazhar besides recovery of 690 gram hashish and six wine bottles from them.

Khanna police arrested Qaisar Ameen and recovered 1240 gram hashish from him while Nilor police held Nazeer for having 240 gram hashish.Aabpara police arrested Adnan and Usman and recovered two 30 bore pistols along with ammunition from their possession. Sihala police recovered one 30 bore pistol from an accused Imran Abbassi while anti-car lifting cell of Islamabad police recovered stolen vehicle from an accused Javed.Noon police arrested accused Umer Khan and recovered one SMG gun along with ammunition from him while Nasir, Fahad and Rasheed were held for their alleged involvement in a theft case.

Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further Investigation is underway from them.DIG (Operations) Waqar Ud din Syed has directed all Station House Officers for effective crackdown against that involvement in drug peddling activities. He asked for renewed efforts to curb such practices and get rid of society from such menace.He said that Performance in this regard would be reviewed on continuous basis. He also directed for strict action against those involved in selling or flying kites, aerial firing and pigeon racing activities.The DIG also categorically asked all police officials to focus on resolving the public complaints and take every possible step toProvide maximum relief to citizens.
