Her daughter was raped last night following which she committed suicide.
Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 5th February, 2019) A mother allegedly committed suicide with her daughter in Nandpur area of Multan.
The son of the deceased said that her daughter was raped last night following which she committed suicide.
Media reports said that the accused named Ansar raped 18-year-old Saima in Multan. Ansar is an influential person in the neighbourhood.
Saima and her mother wanted to punish the accused but since they were poor and powerless, they opted to commit suicide.
The mother and daughter hanged themselves with the ceiling.
The police have however not yet arrested anyone.
Despite getting the information of the incident, the police reached the scene with a delay of three hours.
Saima and her mother’s dead bodies have been shifted to Kabirwala Hospital.
The incident has enraged the locals but since the accused is an influential person, nobody can raise a voice against him.
