MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 11th January, 2019) The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) will hold a large-scale conference on fighting terrorism in the Slovak capital of Bratislava in March, Alexander Lukashevich, Russian permanent representative to the organization, said on Friday."In March, a large-scale counter-terrorism conference will be held in Bratislava, which will outline new priorities, including with a view to the ministerial council [that will be held] in Bratislava on December 5-6," Lukashevich said during a video conference.
Slovakia will chair the OSCE throughout 2019 before passing the baton to Albania.
The OSCE, uniting 57 participating states, is a security-oriented intergovernmental organization that focuses on regional conflict mediation, weapon control, and also promotion of human rights, fair elections, and freedom of press.
