MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 24th August, 2018) Russian Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin and head of Algerian Defense Ministry's provision department Mustafa Debby discussed on the sidelines of the Army-2018 forum bilateral cooperation in security sphere and set out directions for further partnership, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Thursday.
"The Russian deputy defense minister defined certain prospective paths of the Russian-Algerian cooperation, paying special attention to military training activities. Also, the sides exchanged opinions on the urgent issues of international and regional security," the ministry said.
During the talks, the two officials also noted positive dynamics of the Russian-Algerian relations in the military sphere.
The Army-2018 international defense forum is now underway in the Moscow region. The event, supported by the Russian Defense Ministry, combines an arms exhibition with extensive congress agenda, and welcomes a total of 1,200 exhibitors from 14 countries. The forum has started on August 21 and will last until August 26.
