MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 24th August, 2018) Sierra Leone plans to sign contracts for the purchase of military equipment and hardware for the national defense forces, primarily for logistics support units, Deputy Defense Minister of Sierra Leone Simeon Sheriff said at the Army-2018 defense industry forum.
"The government of Sierra Leone is preparing to conclude a contract for the purchase of equipment and armament for logistics support units. At present, the country has two priority areas - ensuring national security and ensuring international security as part of peacekeeping contingents," Sheriff said after the exhibition pavilion of Russia's Rostec state corporation.
According to the deputy minister, the Sierra Leone delegation was most impressed by Kamaz trucks and their application in combat conditions.
