MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 23rd August, 2018) Russian Deputy Defense Minister Col. Gen. Alexander Fomin and Defense Minister of Cote d'Ivoire Hamed Bakayoko on Thursday discussed defense industry cooperation projects on the sidelines of the Army-2018 forum, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
"The meeting between Russian Deputy Defense Minister Col. Gen. Alexander Fomin and Defense Minister of Cote d'Ivoire Hamed Bakayoko took place today on the sidelines of the Army-2018 defense industry forum. During the talks the sides discussed defense industry cooperation and exchanged views on topical issues of regional security in Africa," the ministry's press service told reporters.
According to the ministry, the sides confirmed mutual willingness to further strengthen relations between the military of Russia and Cote d'Ivoire.
The Army-2018 forum kicked off on Tuesday at the Patriot congress and exhibition center in the town of Kubinka, the Moscow Region, and will last until Sunday, August 26.
