SOCHI (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 22nd August, 2018) Russia and Finland are interested in cooperation to strengthen security in northern Europe, Moscow supports Helsinki's proposal to improve flight safety over the Baltic Sea, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Wednesday.
"We expressed mutual interest in cooperation to strengthen stability and security in northern Europe," Putin said following talks with Finnish President Sauli Niinisto in Russia's Black Sea resort of Sochi.
"Russia supports the proposal of the President of Finland to raise the level of safety during flights over the Baltic Sea," the Russian president added.
