WASHINGTON (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 22nd August, 2018) A generic ballot in which voters reveal how they would vote in the 2018 mid-term elections for Congress reveals a tie for the first time in months, according to a poll by Rasmussen Reports on Wednesday.
"The latest telephone and online survey finds that 44 percent of likely US voters would choose the Democratic candidate if the elections for Congress were held today" a press release summarizing the poll said. "Another 44 percent would now opt for the Republican."
A week ago, Democrats held a 48 percent to 41 percent on the generic ballot, the release explained.
The latest poll shows a tie between the two parties for the first time since May, the release noted.
