Finnish President Had Brief Talks With Russian Security Council Members - Kremlin

BOCHAROV RUCHEY (Russia) (Pakistan Point news / Sputnik - 22nd August, 2018) Finnish President Sauli Niinisto on Wednesday held brief talks with members of the Russian Security Council, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

Niinisto arrived in Russia's Black Sea resort of Sochi for talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"Putin introduced the president of Finland to the participants of the operational panel of the Security Council members, who stayed behind for a little while. Niinisto spoke to them briefly," Peskov said.

Earlier on Wednesday, the Russian president held a meeting with permanent members of the Russian Security Council. The participants included Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev and Russia's lower house speaker Vyacheslav Volodin among others.
