“Should I not form a government? Should I not become the prime minister?" Imran Khan says
Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 9th August, 2018) Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Chaudhry Manzoor while talking on a tv program claimed that everybody knows Jahangir Tareen got Shah Mehmood Qureshi defeated from his provincial assembly seat.
“Shah Mehmood himself has admitted this in front of me,” he said.
To this, anchorperson Mehar Bukhari said that according to her information, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has told off Shah Mehmood.
When Jahangir Tareen brought Hafiz Salman, Shah Mehmood had protested to which Imran Khan scolded him and said, “Should I not form a government? Shouldn’t I become the prime minister?”
PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi could have been considered a potential candidate for the Punjab chief minister’s slot, but he lost from PP-217 Multan-VII.
The PTI has finalized Shah Mehmood Qureshi’s name for National Assembly speaker while the party has nominated Imran Khan for the prime minister. Imran Khan made him agree to the position, sources said.
Commenting on this, analysts are saying that Shah Mehmood Qureshi is not happy over this position and he still wants to be the Punjab chief minister.
He wants to appoint someone temporarily as Punjab CM and contest the by-election due in 90 days and get elected as the chief minister.
