A sessions court passes the order regarding acquittal of Imran Khan and Shah Mahmood Qureshi after hearing both sides in two cases related to Haqeeqi Azadi March.

The latest report say that a sessions court in Islamabad also acquitted Imran Khan and other PTI leaders in a case registered with Kohsar police station.

Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Bashir announced that the couple would endure 14 years of rigorous imprisonment and a 10-year ban from seeking public office, along with a substantial fine of Rs787 million.

Meharbano Qureshi, the daughter of Shah Mehmood Qureshi, who was present outside the jail to receive her father, expressed her dismay over the situation.

The court, in line with the Islamabad High Court's recent ruling, declares the jail trial in the cipher case illegal, deeming proceedings since August 29, including the indictment, to be without lawful authority.

The Islamabad High Court has also rejected the plea of the PTI chairman for bail in the cipher case.
