PPP-stamped ballot papers found from school in Karachi

This school in Karachi’s Gizri area was a polling station.

Karachi (Pakistan Point News – 2nd August, 2018) Ballot papers stamped with Pakistan People’s Party symbol of Arrow were found from desks and inside the classrooms of a school in Gizri area of Karachi.

The ballot papers were stamped in favour of PPP candidate Abdul Aziz Memon in NA-247.

Eight days after the general election when the school was reopened, children found ballot papers in their desks.

This school in Karachi’s Gizri area was a polling station.

Commenting on this, PPP leader Sherry Rehman said, “Look what a morning back in school brought in: 8 days after the school was used as a polling station, ballot papers stamped in PPP’s favour in Gizri were found. Wonder then who won NA 247 in Karachi!

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate Arif Alvi had won election from National Assembly constituency NA-247 Karachi by securing 91,020 votes.

According to the result announced by the Election Commission of Pakistan, Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal candidate Syed Zaman Ali Jaffary stood second by getting 24,680 votes. The third position wasgrabbed by Muttahida Quami Movement Pakistan candidate Muhammad Farooq Sitar 24,145 votes.
