The Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) seized 812 kilogram narcotics worth 1.665 billion rupees in international market, arrested 25 including a lady involved in drug trafficking and impounded 10 vehicles during 23 counter-narcotics strikes across the country.
Islamabad, (Pakistan Point News - 17th Jul, 2018) : The Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) seized 812 kilogram narcotics worth 1.665 billion rupees in international market, arrested 25 including a lady involved in drug trafficking and impounded 10 vehicles during 23 counter-narcotics strikes across the country. The seized drugs included 610 kg prohibited chemical, 132 kg Opium, 50 kg hashish, 14 kg heroin and 4.2 kg amphetamine. Most of the recovered drug was intended to be smuggled abroad.
TheANF Quetta in an intelligence based operation carried out at general area, Tehsil Dalbandin District Chaghi seized 610 kg prohibited chemical. As per initial information, the drugs were intended to be handed over to another narcotics gang. The accused escaped from the spot taking advantage of darkness. The ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a Safari motorcycle without number plate at GT Road, Mian Jee Hotel near Abbottabad More, Tehsil Hassan Abdal, district Attock and recovered 1.
2 kg hashish from personal possession of the accused identified as Sheikh Jamshaid resident of Rawalpindi. In another operation, the ANF Rawalpindi recovered 500 grams hashish from personal possession of the accused identified as Nadeem Masih resident of Attock near Ghora Qabristan, Fateh Jang Chowk, district, Attock. In third operation ANF Rawalpindi recovered 400 grams Hashish from personal possession of the accused namely Zohaib resident of Gujrat.
In fourth operation, the ANF Rawalpindi in collaboration with ASF arrested Muhammad Imran resident of Sheikhupura at New International Airport, Islamabad and recovered 2.330 kg amphetamine which was concealed in his travelling bag. Accused was travelling to KSA by Flight No. WY-0348. In fifth operation, the ANF Rawalpindi intercepted Toyota Primeus Car at Tarnol Railway Crossing, GT road, Islamabad and recovered 5 kg hashish which was concealed in trunk of the car.
A person on board identified as Tahir Alam Khan, resident of Rawalpindi was also apprehended during the operation. In sixth operation, the ANF Rawalpindi arrested Nasir Ali resident of Faisalabad at New International Airport, Islamabad and recovered 980 grams amphetamine which was concealed in his travelling bag. Accused was travelling to KSA by Flight No. WY-348. In seventh operation, the ANF Rawalpindi arrested Said Wali Shah resident of Nowshera at New International Airport, Islamabad and recovered 605 grams Amphetamine which was concealed in his travelling bag.
Accused was t raveling to KSA by Flight No. XY-316. The ANF Lahore intercepted a Suzuki Cultus Car near Motorway Toll Plaza, Kala Shah Kaku, Sheikhupura and recovered 4.8 kg hashish from his personal possession and secret cavities of the car. A person on board namely Shah Khalid Khan resident of Peshawar was apprehended during the operation. In another operation, the ANF Lahore arrested Muhammad Arshad resident of Bahawalpur at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore and recovered 560 grams heroin which was concealed in his shoes.
He was travelling to Kualalampur (Malaysia) by Flight No. OD-132. In third operation, the ANF Lahore in collaboration with 2 Wing Punjab Rangers intercepted 2x Motorcycles Honda CG-125 and recovered 2.5 kg heroin from personal possession of the accused namely Muhammad Khalid resident of Kasur. In fourth operation, the ANF Lahore recovered 900 grams Amphetamine from personal possession of 2x accused identified as Najib Rehman resident of Orakzai Agency and Faqir Taj resident of Mehmand Agency.
They were arrested near Daewoo Terminal, Khanewal Road, Multan. In fifth operation, the ANF Lahore recovered 1.480 kg heroin from 3x parcel being sent to Canada through Courier Service, Cargo Complex Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore. Parcel was booked from a courier service, Sialkot. Heroin was concealed in 74x pairs of gives. The ANF Peshawar intercepted a Toyota Corolla car near Motorway Toll Plaza, Peshawar and recovered 4 Kg Heroin which was concealed in secret cavities of the car.
Two persons on board identified as Anwar Khan, a resident of Khyber Agency and Nabi Gul resident of Hangu were also apprehended during the operation. In another operation, the ANF Peshawar intercepted a Honda Vezel car near Nasir Bagh, Peshawar and recovered 3 kg heroin, which was concealed in doors of the car. Three accused namely Hakmatiar, Abdul Qadeer and Muhammad Nazir residents of Khyber Agency. Accused Muhammad Nazir resident of Khyber Agency was also arrested with recovery 3 kg heroin from his house near Shahi Bala, Peshawar.
In third operation, the ANF Peshawar intercepted a Suzuki Mehran car near main gate of Peshawar University Peshawar and recovered 1.2 kg hashish which was concealed behind the driving seat of the car. A person on board identified as Kamal resident of Khyber Agency was apprehended during the operation. In fourth operation, the ANF Peshawar recovered 3.3 kg heroin from a lady accused namely Haseena, resident of Peshawar travelling in Hiace passenger Vehicle at Motorway Toll Plaza, Peshawar.
The heroin was wrapped with her body. In fifth operation, the ANF Peshawar recovered 200 grams heroin & 130 grams hashish from an accused namely Muhammad Shahzad resident of Peshawar travelling in a Hiace passenger Vehicle at Motorway Toll Plaza, Peshawar. Drug was concealed in his shoes. In sixth operation ANF Peshawar recovered 580 Grams Hashish from an accused identified as Haroon Masih who was travelling in a passenger bus at Motorway Tll Plaza, Peshawar.
Hashish was concealed in his chappals. In seventh operation, the ANF Peshawar intercepted a Hiace passenger vehicle near Motorway Toll Plaza, Peshawar and recovered 2.4 Kg Hashish which was recovered from his hand bag. A person namely Saeed Meen Khan, resident of Khyber Agency arrested on spot. In eighth operation, the ANF Peshawar intercepted a Honda Civic car near Motorway Toll Plaza, Peshawar and recovered 132 kg opium and 20 kg hashish which was recovered from diggi of the car.
A person on board identified as Farid Ullah, a resident of Peshawar was also apprehended during the operation. The ANF Karachi intercepted a Toyota Corolla car near Taj Mahal Hotel, Sukkur and recovered 9 kg hashish. A person on board identified as Ali Raza resident of Nawabshah was also apprehended during the operation. In another operation, the ANF Karachi recovered 2.2 kg hashish from personal possession of the accused identified as Ponal Khan Jamali resident of Thatta near Nehal Hospital Malir, Karachi. Separate cases in all incidents were registered at concerned ANF police stations under CNS Act 1997 and further investigation was underway.
