District Police Officer (DPO) Allah Bakhsh Baloch says attack took place in the Wali Khan area as the judge’s vehicle was travelling from Quetta to the Sessions Court in Mastung
MASTUNG: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-July 23rd, 2026) Unidentified gunmen shot dead Session Judge Abdul Hakim Kakar and his security guard after opening fire on their vehicle in Balochistan’s Mastung district on Thursday, police said.
District Police Officer (DPO) Allah Bakhsh Baloch said that the attack took place in the Wali Khan area as the judge’s vehicle was travelling from Quetta to the Sessions Court in Mastung.
The DPO said Additional Session Judge Tariq Lashari was among two people who sustained serious injuries in the attack and were shifted to a hospital for treatment.
Following the incident, security forces sealed off the area and launched a search operation to apprehend the attackers.
The police have initiated an investigation to determine the motive behind the attack, while no group has claimed responsibility so far.
