Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reaffirmed Pakistan’s solidarity with Kingdom

ISLAMABAD: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-July 23rd, 2026) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday strongly condemned the Houthi militia’s attacks on Saudi oil tankers in the Red Sea, reaffirming Pakistan’s unwavering support for Saudi Arabia during a telephone conversation with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

According to an official statement, the prime minister denounced the attacks in the strongest terms, describing them as unacceptable and a clear violation of international law.

He said such actions pose a serious threat to the freedom of navigation and international maritime trade, while undermining regional peace, security, and stability.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s solidarity with the Kingdom, Prime Minister Shehbaz said, “The Field Marshal, the people of Pakistan, and I stand firmly and resolutely with the Saudi leadership and our brotherly Saudi people during this critical time.”

The prime minister also reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to Saudi Arabia’s security, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and prosperity.

He stressed that Pakistan would continue working with Saudi Arabia and the international community to promote peace, security, and regional stability. He also pledged Pakistan’s continued cooperation to ensure the uninterrupted flow of maritime trade through the Red Sea and the Strait of Hormuz.

Prime Minister Shehbaz conveyed his best wishes to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz. During the conversation, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman appreciated Pakistan’s steadfast support and praised the close brotherly ties between the two countries.
