Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) says operations targeted militant networks in the districts of Surab and Mastung
ISLAMABAD: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-July 22nd, 2026) The security forces killed 10 militants and arrested two female suicide bombers along with a facilitator during intelligence-based operations carried out in different parts of Balochistan over the past 48 hours, the military’s media wing said on Wednesday.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that the operations targeted militant networks in the districts of Surab and Mastung. The security forces conducted coordinated intelligence-based raids, successfully engaging militant hideouts.
The ISPR said seven militants were killed during the operation in Surab, while three others were eliminated in Mastung. During the operation, security personnel also arrested two female suicide bombers and one of their facilitators.
A cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives was recovered from the militants’ hideouts. The military added that clearance operations are continuing in the area to eliminate any remaining militants and their support networks.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif commended the security forces for the successful operations, particularly praising the arrest of the two female suicide bombers and their facilitator.
In a statement, the prime minister said no one would be allowed to undermine peace in Balochistan. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to continuing the fight against terrorism until its complete eradication.
Shehbaz Sharif said militants were enemies of Balochistan’s peace, development, and prosperity, adding that the entire nation stood firmly alongside Pakistan’s armed forces in their efforts to safeguard the country’s security.
