Lahore, Punjab weather update; hot, humid conditions likely after Monsoon exit

The Met Office says departing weather system produced light to moderate rainfall in Lahore and various parts of Punjab before weakening and moving away

LAHORE: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-July 14th, 2026) The weak monsoon system that brought rain to Lahore and several other districts of Punjab has moved out of the province, with the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasting a return of hot and humid weather across most areas.

The Met Office said that the departing weather system produced light to moderate rainfall in Lahore and various parts of Punjab before weakening and moving away.

As a result, dry and warm conditions are expected to prevail in most districts over the next 24 hours.

The PMD said Lahore is likely to experience a mix of sunshine and clouds during the afternoon and evening. However, isolated areas may still receive light showers due to the development of local cloud formations.

The department has forecast a minimum temperature of 27°C and a maximum of 39°C for the provincial capital.

Weather officials have advised citizens to take precautionary measures against the expected hot and humid conditions, including staying hydrated and avoiding prolonged exposure to direct sunlight during peak daytime hours.

The Met Office added that warm and humid weather is likely to persist across most parts of Punjab in the coming days unless another significant monsoon system enters the region.
