Monsoon system exits Pakistan, hot, humid Weather returns to Punjab

Most districts of Punjab are likely to experience intense heat, dry weather, and high humidity from July 15 to July 18

LAHORE: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-July 15th, 2026) The monsoon weather system that brought widespread rainfall to Lahore and other parts of Punjab has moved out of Pakistan, paving the way for a return of hot, dry, and humid conditions across the province.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said that the most districts of Punjab are expected to experience intense heat, dry weather, and high humidity from July 15 to July 18.

The Met Office said a fresh monsoon system is likely to enter Pakistan on July 19, bringing another spell of widespread rainfall. The new weather system is expected to produce heavy rains in several areas and may persist for two to three days.

In Lahore, the minimum temperature was recorded at 27°C on Tuesday, while the maximum temperature is expected to reach 39°C during the day.

The authorities have advised residents to take necessary precautions against the prevailing hot and humid weather until the next spell of monsoon rains arrives.
