The moist winds from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal are entering the upper parts of the country while a westerly weather system is also expected to affect northern regions
KARACHI: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-July 7th, 2026) Karachi is likely to experience hot, humid, and partly cloudy weather over the next three days, with the maximum temperature expected to reach 37 degrees Celsius, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said on Tuesday.
The Met Office predicted that the moist winds from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal are entering the upper parts of the country, while a westerly weather system is also expected to affect northern regions.
The PMD said the prevailing weather system could trigger light rain accompanied by gusty winds and thunderstorms in Dadu and Jamshoro on Tuesday. Similar conditions are forecast for Sukkur, Larkana, Jacobabad, and several other districts on Wednesday and Thursday.
For Karachi, the weather is expected to remain hot and humid through the next three days, with partly cloudy skies. The department said temperatures are likely to remain high on Tuesday and Wednesday, with the mercury expected to climb to 37°C.
The Met Office also forecast light drizzle in isolated parts of the city during the early morning and nighttime hours over the next few days.
According to the PMD, a slight drop in temperature is expected from Thursday as sea breezes are likely to become stronger, providing some relief from the prevailing heat and humidity.
The weather department has advised residents to avoid unnecessary exposure to direct sunlight during peak afternoon hours and remain hydrated as hot weather conditions continue across the city.
