The sources say nine militants were killed during the latest phase of the operation through a combination of aerial strikes and ground engagements
QUETTA: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-July 11th, 2026) A joint operation involving the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps (FC) and police is continuing in the Shaban area of Balochistan, where security forces are conducting coordinated actions against militants, security sources said on Friday.
The sources said that nine militants were killed during the latest phase of the operation through a combination of aerial strikes and ground engagements. The latest action is part of an ongoing campaign aimed at clearing the area of armed militants.
Security officials said the total number of militants killed in the Shaban operation has now reached 52.
They further stated that since July 5, security forces have killed a total of 88 militants in separate operations carried out across Balochistan.
The operation remains in progress, with security forces continuing search and clearance activities in the region. According to security sources, the campaign will continue until all militants operating in the area are neutralised.
Authorities said the joint operation reflects ongoing efforts to improve the security situation in Balochistan and prevent militant activity in the province.
