LAHORE: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-July 3rd, 2026) The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday held an official farewell ceremony in honour of Justice Masood Abid Naqvi, who is due to retire from office on July 4, 2026.
Lahore High Court Chief Justice Aalia Neelum attended the ceremony and presented a bouquet to Justice Naqvi in recognition of his services to the judiciary.
The event was held at the principal seat of the Lahore High Court in a dignified atmosphere.
The ceremony was attended by senior puisne judge Justice Abid Aziz Sheikh, Justice Syed Shahbaz Ali Rizvi, Justice Faisal Zaman Khan, Justice Shahid Karim, and other judges serving at the principal seat of the Lahore High Court. Court officers and officials were also present on the occasion.
Speaking informally during the ceremony, members of the bench acknowledged Justice Naqvi's contributions to the administration of justice and extended their best wishes for his post-retirement life.
Justice Masood Abid Naqvi will formally retire from the Lahore High Court on Saturday, July 4, upon attaining the constitutional age of retirement. Throughout his judicial career, he served on the Lahore High Court bench and heard a wide range of constitutional, civil, criminal, and public interest cases.
The farewell ceremony concluded with the presentation of floral tributes and prayers for Justice Naqvi's health, happiness, and success in the next phase of his life. The event marked the conclusion of his judicial service at the Lahore High Court, where he served with dedication and professionalism.
