In its message, the High Commission said Pakistan was the rightful winner of the series and extended congratulations to the team. It also expressed pleasure at seeing Australia playing cricket again in Pakistan, stating that cricket continues to bring both nations closer.
The High Commission also paid tribute to Shaheen Afridi for his performance.
Pakistan defeated Australia by 4 wickets in the third ODI, securing the three-match series 2–1. Pakistan successfully chased the target of 158 runs in the 42nd over.
