Directive comes during the hearing of a petition filed against the scheduling of HBL PSL 2026 night matches
LAHORE: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-April 22nd, 2026) The Lahore High Court has directed the Pakistan cricket board (PCB) to submit a formal response on a petition challenging the holding of HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2026 matches under floodlights.
The directive came during the hearing of a petition filed against the scheduling of PSL night matches. The court instructed the PCB’s counsel to present a detailed reply before the next hearing.
During proceedings, the PCB lawyer opposed the petition, stating that PSL matches are conducted using generator-based power arrangements and that electricity from WAPDA is not used for the events.
After initial arguments, the court adjourned the hearing until May 5 for further proceedings.
