KARACHI: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-April 10th, 2026) Quetta Gladiators secured a commanding 61-run victory over Rawalpindi in the 18th match of HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2026 at the National Bank Stadium on Friday.
Chasing a target of 183, Rawalpindi were bowled out for 121 in 17.3 overs as their batting line-up collapsed under pressure despite brief resistance from a few middle-order batters.
Saad Masood top-scored with a brisk 31 off 19 balls, while Daryl Mitchell made 30 off 32 deliveries. Yasir Khan and Abdullah Fazal contributed 22 and 20 runs respectively, but the rest of the batting order failed to offer any significant support.
Quetta’s bowlers shared the wickets effectively, with Usman Tariq, Jahandad Khan and captain Saud Shakeel taking two wickets each. Kashif Bhatti and Abrar Ahmed added one wicket apiece to complete a disciplined bowling performance.
Earlier, Quetta Gladiators posted 182 for 6 after being put into bat. Their innings began cautiously as they lost an early wicket, but Rilee Rossouw and Saud Shakeel rebuilt the innings with an 87-run partnership for the second wicket.
Rossouw anchored the innings with a solid 53 off 42 balls, hitting six fours and a six, before being dismissed in the middle overs. Captain Saud Shakeel contributed 42 off 39 deliveries before falling soon after.
In the final overs, Hasan Nawaz provided a late surge with a powerful 39 off just 16 balls, striking five sixes, while Jahandad Khan added a quick unbeaten 21 off six deliveries to lift the total.
For Rawalpindi, Ben Sears was the most successful bowler with three wickets, while Mohammad Amir took two and Mubasir Khan claimed one.
