LAHORE: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-March 9th, 2026) The City Traffic Police Lahore has launched a new digital system, “One App,” along with introducing a new uniform, marking the start of a modern policing system on the city’s roads.
Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore Dr Athar Waheed distributed iPads equipped with the One App to all circle officers to facilitate the implementation of the new system.
According to the CTO, the application will enable traffic wardens to access multiple operational services with a single click and carry out various actions instantly in the field. The advanced application is integrated with data from several government departments, allowing real-time verification of different records.
Dr Athar Waheed said that with the use of the One App, every traffic violation will now become part of a formal record that can be produced as evidence when required.
Under the new system, traffic officers will be able to instantly verify national identity cards, driving licences and stolen vehicles at the spot. The application will also allow immediate verification of vehicle ownership, fitness certificates and route permits.
He added that the system will also help authorities take effective action against encroachments and environmental violations.
Through the integrated system, officers will also be able to check e-challans, the status of FIRs and the criminal record of drivers.
Meanwhile, a new electric vehicle connected with the One App system has started duty from Main Boulevard Gulberg.
Dr Athar Waheed said that equipped with modern technology, the new application and updated uniform, traffic police officers will serve citizens with courtesy, respect and professionalism.
