Madrassa Faizan-e-Pur Zia, Chiniot — A School Teaching Children Love of Holy Prophet PBUH

Madrassa Faizan-e-Pur Zia has become a beacon of hope for children from poor families, offering education to those for whom attending school or college remains just a dream

Chiniot: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-March 7th, 2026) In a relatively underdeveloped area of Chiniot District, Madrassa Faizan-e-Pur Zia is quietly laying the foundation for change.

Though still in its early stages, this newly established religious school is not only teaching children the Holy Quran, but also cultivating love and respect in their hearts for Holy Prophet (PBUH).

Located on Central Chiniot–Pindi Bhattian Road, about seven kilometers from the city, the madrassa is named after the revered Sufi saint Hazrat Khawaja Bashir Ahmad Pur Zia (Rahmatullah Alahe). The central message of Hazrat Pur Zia’s life was love for the Holy Prophet (PBUH) respect for his teachings, and selfless love for humanity.

He emphasized nurturing a sincere love and reverence for Holy Prophet (PBUH) in every heart and encouraging kindness and compassion toward all of God’s creation. The madrassa was established to continue this spiritual mission.

Good learning opportunity for children of poor families

The area is significantly lacking in educational facilities. Near Adda Tahirabad, there are no government or private schools for children to attend. Families living along the Chiniot–Pindi Bhattian Road and nearby villages have no access to schools, colleges, or universities.

In this challenging environment, Madrassa Faizan-e-Pur Zia has become a beacon of hope for children from poor families, offering education to those for whom attending school or college remains just a dream.

The madrassa’s administrator explains,“Many children arriving here cannot recite the Kalima correctly, nor do they know how to offer prayers. They are often unfamiliar with the basic tenets of faith. Although they come from Muslim families, they don’t know Holy Quran recitation and basic religious education. Our aim is to provide them with essential religious knowledge and to nurture love and respect for the Holy Prophet (PBUH) in their hearts.”

Fostering Love for Holy Prophet (PBUH) through practice

The madrassa places special emphasis on the spiritual and moral education of students alongside religious learning. To cultivate love and reverence for the Holy Prophet (PBUH), the school organizes Durood Sharif recitation competitions, where children recite with enthusiasm and awards are distributed to the top performers. These activities aim to make the love of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) an engaging and joyful part of students’ lives.

Free Transport for Students

Access to the madrassa was a major challenge for children coming from remote villages. To address this, the administration has provided a large rickshaw to transport students to and from the madrassa. No fee or travel expenses are charged, and the school manages both the driver and fuel costs.

Local resident Muhammad Abdullah says, “No other institution provides free transport for students. School fees, books, and travel expenses are beyond our means. We are grateful to the madrassa administration for providing this facility for our children.”

Education, Books and Facilities

A dedicated teacher instructs children in Noorani Qaida, Sipara and Holy Quran, along with Kalima, prayers and basic Islamic ethics. Students receive free copies of the Noorani Qaida, Sipara and Holy Quran as well as meals, and are occasionally given clothes and other gifts.

Female students are also taught by a female teacher, ensuring girls have equal access to religious education.

An example of service and sacrifice

Local figure Haji Muhammad Mazhar played a key role in establishing the madrassa, donating 38 marlas of his valuable land for the institution.

“We have 16 kanal 16 marlas of land, of which we have given 38 marlas to the madrassa. If needed, we are ready to contribute more,” he says.

The 50-year-old Haji Mazhar is committed to sustaining the mission. Revenue from the land is used to fund madrassa activities. A fish pond has also been established, the income from which supports the school’s needs.

Currently, the madrassa has two large rooms, a veranda, and a courtyard but further construction and development are urgently needed.

Accommodation facilities for students coming from distant areas are still under development.

Madrassa Faizan-e-Pur Zia is not only becoming a center for religious education but also an important hub for moral and spiritual development in the area.

Religious gatherings, meelads, and Zikar sessions are held with active participation from local residents.

The administration says that with support from the community and philanthropists, this small madrassa can grow into a major center of knowledge and training for underprivileged children in the region.
