ISLAMABAD: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-Feb-14, 2026) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced a Rs38 billion Ramadan Relief Package aimed at providing dignified support to deserving families across Pakistan.
During the launch ceremony, the Secretary of the Benazir Income Support Programme briefed the Prime Minister that under this year’s package, each eligible family will receive Rs13,000, compared to Rs5,000 provided in 2025. The funds will be disbursed directly through banks using a transparent digital system.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the package covers all four provinces and Azad Kashmir, ensuring fair and efficient distribution. He also highlighted that the government has increased the allocation from Rs20 billion last year to Rs38 billion this year. Ministers and a special committee will oversee all stages of the relief distribution, with the Prime Minister personally monitoring the process to ensure transparency and effectiveness.
