KARACHI: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-Feb 3rd, 2026) Former world boxing champion Amir Khan, who is currently on a visit to Pakistan, arrived in Karachi on Tuesday.
Following his arrival in the port city, Amir Khan visited the shrine of Hazrat Abdullah Shah Ghazi, located in the Clifton area.
The British-Pakistani former boxer paid his respects by laying a ceremonial chadar, offering flowers, and reciting Fateha at the shrine.
During the visit, Amir Khan offered special prayers for peace, stability, and prosperity in Pakistan. He also toured various sections of the shrine, where he was presented with Sindh’s traditional Ajrak as a mark of cultural respect and hospitality.
Earlier during his visit, Amir Khan toured the Wagah Border to express solidarity with Pakistan’s armed forces. On the occasion, he paid tribute to the Pakistan Army, praising its role in safeguarding the country and highlighting the importance of unity and patriotism.
Amir Khan, a former unified light-welterweight world champion, has Pakistani roots and has frequently visited the country to take part in cultural, charitable and national events.
