A citizen was injured after robbers opened fire and stole over Rs21.7 million from him in Shera Kot while he was returning after selling silver.
LAHORE: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-Jan,31, 2026) A man was shot and robbed of more than Rs21.7 million by armed assailants in the Shera Kot area of Lahore, police said.
According to police, the incident occurred when the citizen was returning after selling over 2,000 tolas of silver. The suspects attempted to loot him, and when he offered resistance, they opened fire.
Police stated that the robbers injured the man by shooting him and fled the scene with cash exceeding Rs20 million. A case has been registered regarding the robbery.
The complainant told police that he had sold 2,022 tolas of silver and was carrying the money in two bags when the suspects intercepted and robbed him. During the resistance, he sustained bullet injuries to his hand and leg.
