A PIA spokesperson says national flag carrier will operate four weekly flights from Islamabad to London
ISLAMABAD: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-Dec 30th, 2025) Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced the launch of direct flights from Islamabad to London, following the resumption of its Manchester operations.
A PIA spokesperson said that the national flag carrier would operate four weekly flights from Islamabad to London. The London-bound flights will operate to and from Heathrow Airport’s state-of-the-art Terminal 4.
The spokesperson said PIA’s first flight from Islamabad to London is scheduled to depart on March 29.
He added that the London service is being resumed after a long hiatus of six years, noting that London was PIA’s first international destination and remains one of its most attractive and important routes.
The spokesperson further said that PIA is already operating three weekly flights to Manchester.
It may be mentioned here that Defence Minister Khawaja Asif inaugurated PIA’s Islamabad–Manchester flight operations in October 2025, under which three weekly flights were launched and the first flight successfully reached Manchester.
The resumption and expansion of UK flight operations is being seen as a major step towards restoring PIA’s international network and strengthening connectivity for passengers traveling between Pakistan and the United Kingdom.
